What is actually helpful to write
You do not need to write much, and you should never post anything about the facts of your case that you would rather keep private. What helps someone choosing a lawyer is the ordinary stuff: whether we called you back, whether we explained things in plain English, whether you knew what was happening at each step, and how you were treated by the staff who answer the phone.
If it is useful, mentioning the city or court your case was in — Ogden, Salt Lake City, Layton, Provo — helps other people in that area know we handle cases where they live.
If you would rather not use your real name
A lot of our clients want to help the next person without their full name sitting on a public page — and given what we do for a living, we understand that completely. Google has no “anonymous review” button, but it does let you post under a display name you choose. You set it once, on your phone, and it applies to everything you post from then on.
- Open the Google Maps app on your phone.
- Tap Contribute at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap your name at the top of the page.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Check the box that says Use a custom display name & picture for posting.
- Choose the nickname you want shown — a first name and last initial, or something that is not your name at all.
- Set a profile picture, or leave the default one.
- Tap Save. Then come back and write your review.
What this does and does not do. It changes what the public sees on your review. It does not hide you from Google — Google still knows who you are on its end. You get one custom display name per Google account, and it applies to every review you post anywhere, not just ours. If even that feels like more exposure than you want, please don't post. Call us and tell us directly instead. We would rather have you comfortable than have the review.
