Davis County DUI & criminal defense.
Davis County starts fifteen minutes south of our Ogden office. We appear in the Farmington complex and the Layton department of the Second District regularly — and we know which of this county’s cities have no court of their own, which is where most people’s confusion starts.
Davis County’s two-court system.
Davis County is organized differently from Weber. Several of its cities have no justice court at all, so their cases land in the county court in Farmington — and people lose days looking for a courthouse in their own town.
Two separate courts sit at 800 West State Street in Farmington — the Davis County Justice Court and the Second District Court. Clients mix them up constantly, and showing up at the wrong one is how a bench warrant starts. Check the court name printed on your citation, not the address.
Where Davis County cases come from.
Davis County runs the length of the I-15 corridor between Salt Lake and Weber counties. Its enforcement pattern follows that corridor and the base.
Layton
The county’s largest city, no justice court of its own, and a heavy DUI enforcement corridor along Hill Field Road and I-15. Cases go to the Second District at 425 Wasatch Drive. See our Layton page.
Clearfield and Syracuse
Hill Air Force Base’s front door. A disproportionate share of these cases involve service members, contractors and clearance holders, where the collateral consequences outrun the criminal penalty. See Clearfield and Syracuse.
Kaysville and Farmington
Neither city runs a justice court; both are served by the Davis County Justice Court in Farmington. See Kaysville and Farmington.
Bountiful and south Davis
The southern end of the county, closest to Salt Lake and its own enforcement patterns. See our Bountiful page.
Davis County Correctional Facility.
Arrests anywhere in Davis County book here, whichever city’s police made the stop.
The bail defaults and the 10-day license clock work identically to Weber County — both are set by state law, not by the county. Our booking and release guide walks through the numbers and the deadline in detail.
