The State announced there would be DUI roadblocks over St. Paddy’s day weekend and they made it very public. Why would they do that? Because announcing it produces better results than just taking the action and because they’re required to. People see, or hear that it’s going to happen and hopefully take appropriate steps to not expose themselves to a DUI. The UHP and police would rather there be fewer DUIs than more.  Wouldn’t we all?
